For more than a decade I train horses and riders in para-dressage – with great success, which is proven by many high places and medals at Paralympics and World Championships. And this is not only driven by desire to succeed. It is more a deep passion and fascination which I first experienced more than ten years ago. My first contact to para-riders had been in Lingen, Germany in 2003. The occasion was the first ever national German Championship for Para-Dressage. I was immediately caught and wanted to fully understand how horses can be trained and prepared for this special sport.
The two para-riders Bianca Vogel and Solveig Wörzberger approached me, whether I would like to train them. I agreed and both ladies moved their horses to my stables near Cologne. Our intense work yielded in various titles and medals at the national German Championships and the Paralympics in Athens. On the back of these accomplishments, I then started in 2007 to build the by now very successful Singaporean para-dressage team.
